Night before school

Last year we started the tradition the night before school starts of having a nice dinner (in the dining room nonetheless.....), setting a little "theme" for our school year with a special Family Home Evening, and then Craig gives Elliott a special father's blessing to bless him in the upcoming school year- with various things pertaining specifically to and for Elliott.  

Although it is hard for a 7 year old to focus on the reasons why we do all of this, I know in the future it will be very important and well worth it when he does understand and we've been doing it since he was little- so he won't question why we have these traditions.
