Need I say anymore? Yes, those are underwear.

Farm
After doing the whole "Farm" learning experience in school they took a little field trip to the farm. The baby chicks were by far the best part for the kids. They were the best part for me. There is just something about a baby chick that
makes people happy.
I'm pretty sure we'll be having some chickens of our own sooner than later. Craig's all over the idea of having our own eggs. I'm all for it too, I just don't want to do the cleaning up- Craig is cool with that- so I'm cool with that!
I'll feed them and eat their eggs happily.
There is so much junk that goes into our food that we have no idea about unless we research it. Chickens are being fed so much stuff that is then part of the eggs they produce that we then eat. Particularly GM products. Soy and corn to name the two main ones. I will be stoked to know that my chickens will be eating the things that I won't mind eating and having my boys eat too. Should be a fun experience. If you need/want some eggs in a few months (6-8) let us know!
Egg Hunts, Guns and Egg Hunts
E's school Egg Hunt- I love my little man.
Church Egg Hunt- a good time was had by all- as usual. It's quite the party. Pinata and all.
Egg dying night at Grandma Ede's house. See below picture for the crazy berserk mood E was in! He was out of control! The gun just happened to be part of the evening- the picture with his crazy face is hilarious to me- so representative of the evening!
Yep, that's my baby- shotgun and all. He purchased this gun with his allowance- his well SAVED, allowance I might add. He's been pretty good about saving it for something he wants instead of the instant gratification of some little something right at that moment.
Egg hunt the next day at Grandma Ede's. The kids had a blast looking for their bags and
then hunting for the candy.
Cute Nate!
Sweet Luke and Etta
Collin wouldn't look at me, silly guy.
Pretty Kenyon and Scott (Scott can be pretty too.)
Oral Report 101
E had his first little oral report at school. They were studying farms and farm animals. He chose the cow. I was sadly unimpressed with my knowledge of cows considering my father's occupation for most of my life was all about cattle. However, I think I've brushed up and
he'd be much more proud of me now!
Elliott did a great job! He was suppose to have some sort of artwork with his report. Some kids did drawings, some did diagrams, E had his old bike helmet since the bike accident- Craig had the brilliant idea to make it into a cow. He was a hit at school and the kids loved it. He wasn't shy at all like he is at church (he won't give a talk or do the scripture to save his life- it's sweet actually- he gets completely shy and closed off and freezes.) So- this was a BREEZE and I'm super proud of my little cow lover!
Now onto the other 200+
oral reports he'll do in his lifetime!
Visitors and pool days beginning
We were so excited to come home from the beach while Spen was visiting to some new visitors to our pool. Sure they poop in the water-but no one was swimming in it right now right? Right? Wrong- E and Spen decided to get in and swim around in the FREEZING cold water with the ducks. The ducks were fine until E got a little too close and they booked it as fast as they could away from us! I wanted them to stick around and bring me some ducklings. They came back for a few mornings for awhile- but it's been awhile since they've come- and NO sign of my ducklings.
Elliott went from suit and rash guard to wet suit. It was cold- he was a champ.
LET THE POOL DAYS BEGIN!

Book Review
This book was a little different than I'd imagined. Wonderful nonetheless. I will give you an idea with a few of my favorite passages. You can decide for yourself if it would be worth a read, I think it was totally worth it for me. Perfect for an Easter weekend read, or really an anytime read.
A good motto:
In essentials, unity;
In nonessentials, liberty’
In all things, charity.
-Melanchon
"Through the sweet whisperings of the Spirit, as a voice in our mind or a feeling in our heart, or by the counsel of a caring person who sees and understands our plight, the guidance will come. Comfort and reassurance will arrive, and we can find safety and love in His waiting arms.
The sustaining arms of the Lord will give us strength to endure what he chooses not to remove.
But you must reach beyond a sense of the infinity of the Atonement to accept the portion thereof intended for you and you alone. You have the privilege of His embrace. He is not on the cross. He is not in the tomb. He stands looking upon you, asking, “Whom seekest thou?” he whispers your name and waits for you to recognize Him. He wants you to feel His embrace."
That's what he said
If you know Elliott, you know he likes to chat while on the toilet- and I mean CHAT. He wants to go over the events of the day, his birthdays past and the fun we had (this is one of his personal favorites to talk about), and anything of any interest to him.
We've been trying to get him to hurry a bit- who sit on the toilet for 20+ minutes? Seriously???
After about 20 minutes-
Mom, my legs and feet feel all tingly.... like fireworks inside.
F I N A L L Y get's off.
This feels like the grand finale, my legs feel weird.
He loves his fireworks.

Hang'in in the YL
| Nate on Collins bike- he looks so funny to me! |
Craig was out of town last weekend so we went out to Shell's house for a little fun Sunday afternoon and evening. The day started out good- we met them at the park with E's bike and my cool scooter. After the park we started the trek back to Shelly's and the boys were trying so hard to listen to the "stay to the right" direction from us adults that E got cut off and had a bit of a nasty spill.
He was freaking out- it was pretty dramatic.
We get back to Shelly's and he was not quite himself- complaining that his head "just HURTS" (ultra emphasis on hurts), he wants to go home, etc, etc. He had his helmet on- so I didn't see any goose-eggs or anything- he did have quite the road rash on his face, shoulder, wrists and knee. Anyway, he falls asleep- wakes up and plays with the kids for a few minutes- then throws up EVERYWHERE. Thank heavens for such a nice sister. She gets up right in the middle of her dinner to clean it all up and help me get E out of there and take him to the ER. I was a little concerned about a concussion.
So Ede meets me over at the ER- they get us in pretty quick and do a pretty lame assessment of my child and give me the CT scan option- but will not really "advise" on what we should do- so I decide that he doesn't need the radiation of a CT- we've had enough of those things in this house. Then she says "I think that is the right choice"- what the heck? Why didn't she just say that in the first place? I'm not going to sue her for her opinion. I was so glad Ede was there- it is always good to have another person with you when you go to Dr's- because they hear things differently and they have different questions. Plus, she's the most calm person I've ever met. I needed that just in case I decided to go berzerk-
which, I did not choose to do, thank heavens.
They advised E not got to school the next day or do anything physical all week- and to see his pediatrician the next day.
Seeing our Dr. was way better! He actually assessed E. He applied pressure all over the different areas of impact and determined that there were no fractures to be worried about and that E could pretty much resume his activities- with a little bit of caution.
It was an experience. We've been so blessed so far. E is so CAUTIOUS. Always has been. We haven't hardly had bruises- he is just so careful. I knew the bike wouldn't be as easy for him to avoid accidents with- and I was right.
I'm so grateful he had his helmet on or I believe it could have been really bad. He's been a champ.
I'm thankful for my family. I'm so well taken care of. From people out of town to people here in town- they are available at the drop of a hat. From meeting me at the ER to cleaning up serious vomit- they've got my back, always.
Craig, E and I are blessed beyond what we deserve.
Thanks guys!
April Fools 2011
Rock on- mid-yawn.
Elliott loves April Fools Day. He's all about a little prank. He and Craig decided to shave a Mohawk for him to wear to school on the 1st and to his soccer game. It was a fun little weekend. We should have kept it for longer. Not many people actually got to see it- and the crazy guy sporting it was hilariously proud!

Jog-a-thoner
E's first Jog-a-thon. He was in HEAVEN.
Heaven, I tell you. He ran his little heart out.
36 times around this circle in 20 minutes. He rocked it!
Notice above- a little cheating here and there!
He has such a serious running face! It is hilarious!
Luke was a sign holder- and a good one for sure!
He is such a good cousin.
We all had a blast- E of course, had the most fun. It is so fun being able to be his momma.
I couldn't ask for a better job ever!
